With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sharon Smith Thompson (Kernersville, North Carolina), who passed away on October 3, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Randy Lee Thompson; her parents, Chester Warren Smith and Edna Yates Smith; and her brother Nelson Ray Smith. She is survived by: her daughters, Angela Dunn of Chesterfield, VA and Tracy Ward (Dean) of Winston-Salem, NC; her grandchildren, Dylan Ward, Trevor Ward, Zoe Ward, Jessie Dunn and Tiffany Lopez; her great grandchildren, Ensley Ward, Gia Ward, Gwen Wahl, Serenity Lopez and Donovan Lopez; and her siblings, Sandra Talley (Fontaine Talley), Rita Saunders (Clyde Saunders) and Charles Smith (Della Smith).
