He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Moore and Emily Moore. He is survived by: his wife Frances Fowler Moore; his sister Meta Moore; his children, Shane Moore (Amy), Brent Moore (Jennifer), Valerie Galloway (Nathan) and Nick Moore (Suzy); the mother of his children Cheryl; and his stepchildren, Tommy Santin, Kory Wiiloford Casey (Allen), Curtis Cecil, John "J. R." Cecil and Hannah Rice (Brandon). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren.

Donations can be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
