He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Walker and Madeline Walker; his wife Peggy Spencer; and his brothers, Mitchell and Wendell.
He is survived by: his sons, Darrell (Paula Walker) and Barry (Tina Walker); his grandchildren, Morgan Walker of Newport News, VA, Taylor Hughes (Cory) of Gastonia, Spencer Walker of Cary, Makenzie Walker of Charlotte and Garrett Walker of Kernersville; and his brother Don Walker of Riegelwood. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
