He is survived by: his children, Scott Powell (Cindy) of Charlotte, Renee Powell Minor (Neil) of Winston-Salem, NC and Mitchell Powell (Lisa) of Colfax, NC; his grandchildren, Jake Powell, Timber Powell, Grant Powell, Austin Minor, Hannah Powell and Savannah Powell; and his siblings, Sylvia Powell, Billie Sue McGee and Steve Powell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
