We are sad to announce that on June 3, 2024, at the age of 90, Roger Lee Nelson Sr. of Kernersville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Glenn Nelson and Doskey Nelson; his wife Carol Marshall Nelson; his son Roger Lee Nelson, Jr.; and his siblings, Glenn R. Nelson, Carl Nelson, Mildred Weavil (Glenn), Richard Nelson (Loree), Margie McKaughn (Richard), Julia Nelson, Nettie Nelson and Mickey Ann Nelson.
He is survived by: his son David M. Nelson (Sherri); his grandchildren, Glenn M. Nelson (Whitney), Dalton C. Nelson (Nicole), Matthew D. Nelson and Michael Nelson (Sydney); his great grandchildren, Madie Jo Nelson, Addison Leigh Nelson, Cheyann and Colten; his brother Ralph Nelson (Faye); and his sister-in-law Betty Nelson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
