He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Joseph and Dorothy Roberts Shapiro; his wife Catherine Stewart Shapiro; and his brother Jay Shapiro. He is survived by: his daughter Tanya Dellacona (Greg) of Kernersville; his granddaughters, Morgan Dellacona of Charlotte and Ashlyn Dellacona of Wilmington; his sisters-in-law, Suzanne Shapiro (late Jay) of Atlanta, GA and Cathy Stewart (late Ronald) of Lexington; his nephew Randall Synder (Kelly) of Lexington; his niece Michelle Land (Leland) of High Point; his cousins, Candice Brinson of Oviedo, FL and Chester Clark of Lewisville; his niece Donna Neely (Allen) of Clemmons; and his pet Suki.
