He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Clay and Lavada Welch Hedgecock; his former spouses, Bertie Lou Holder and Bertie Holder Hedgecock; his brother Ivey Clay Hedgecock (Dorothy McGee Hedgecock); his niece Karen Lynn McNamara; and his nephew-in-law Walter E. Simmons, Jr. (Wally).
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Wise Hedgecock; his children, Ralph Edward Hedgecock, Jr. (Susan) and Susan Hedgecock Frost (Michael); his grandsons, John Michael Hedgecock, Matthew Edward Hedgecock (Stephanie) and Andrew Christian Hedgecock (Caroline); his sister Virginia McNamara (Archie); his nephew Kenneth Hedgecock (Diane); his niece Dee M. Simmons; and his great-nephews, Bryan Hedgecock (Stephanie) and John Paul Simmons.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no public visitation.
