She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Cecil Hill and Sarah McCraw Hill; her siblings, Opal King, Orene Leonard, W. O. Hill and Olin Hill; and her son-in-law Bobby Spear.
She is survived by: her husband Howard Layton Hawks; her daughters, Jeanette Slater (Andy) and Joyce Spear; her grandchildren, Chris Spear (Amy), Kim Spear, Michael Slater and Michele Mankey (Joe); her great grandchildren, Layton, Matthew, Colton, Sadie and Elizabeth; and her brother Oscar Hill (Barbara).
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Saints Delight Primitive Baptist Church or Mountain Valley Hospice.
