She was predeceased by: her father Norman Walter, Sr.; her husband Herman Swift; her son Kenneth Randall Swift; her grandson Mitchell Philip Swift; and her brothers, Stephen Maynard Hale, Sr. and Norman Walter Hale, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Robin Walker (C. C.) of Walkertown, Samantha Boyce (Jay) of Kernersville and Jeff Swift (LeAnne) of New London; and her brother Eddie Hale, Sr.. She is also survived by five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
