He was predeceased by: his wife Rose Brown "Rosie" Bowles; his parents, Walter Clarence Bowles and Nina Runions Bowles; and his children, Naomi, J. J. and Monty.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debbie, Rhonda and Chris; his siblings, Joyce, Juanita, Carol, Fern and J. D.; and also Nellie. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter.
