It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mae Orr Whitaker (Kernersville, North Carolina), born in Henderson, North Carolina, who passed away on October 7, 2022, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Dora Anderson Orr and Dudley Orr; her daughter Kay; her son-in-law Jim Chesson; her daughter Suzanne Lytle; her grandchildren, Jeff Chesson (Casey), Brian Chesson (Ashley), Emily Enojado (Shawn) and Chris Lytle; and her great grandchildren, Scott, Dorothy, Mary Mae and Emerson. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Main Street United Methodist Church, 306 S. Main Street, Kernersville, N.C. 27284.
