He is survived by: his stepdaughter Renea Barker of Thomasville; his sons, Tony Essick of Greensboro and Conny Ray Essick of Spencer; his brothers, Terry Essick of Lexington, Curtis Essick of Randleman and Donnie Kelly of Greensboro; his grandsons, Caleb Teetor of Lexington and Dylan Essick of Kernersville; and his great grandchild McKenzie "Skeeter" Teetor.
