She was predeceased by: her father James Woodrow Belvin, Sr.; her grandmothers, Dolores Kate Edwards and Naomi Belvin; her brother James W. Belvin, Jr.; and her uncles, John Edwards, Jr. and Willie Williams.

She is survived by: her mother Rev. Joann; her husband Jose Louis Solis, Jr.; her daughters, Katoya Broxie (Aaron) and Indira Solis; her stepson Xavier James Murphy-Solis; her stepmother Earnestine Belvin (Pugh); her siblings, Steven Belvin (Leslie), Joseph Belvin, Matthew Alfaro, Terrisene Wyche Pough (Darnell), Kathy Hancock (Timothy), Wanda Roberson (Reginald), Tiffany Glover (Kelvin), Carroll Pugh and Lorna Cox; her aunts, Annie Joe Jackson, Dolores Porter and Deborah Ann Belvin; her grandchildren, Daniel and Kiyah Broxie; and her cousin Jacqueline Rogers. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
