He was predeceased by: his parent Willie Luther Cox; and his brothers, James Cox and Eddie Cox. He is survived by: his wife Vickie Ligon Cox; his children, Alex Cox (Christy) and Cindy White (David); his grandchildren, Jasper White, Sarah White, Walter Cox, David Smith and Haley Smith; and his siblings, Alice Cox Ledford (Steve), Linda Quinn, Barry Cox and Larry Cox. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
