It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Katherine Geiger Mathews (Kernersville, North Carolina), born in Greensboro, North Carolina, who passed away on March 5, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Harold H. Mathews, Jr.; and her parents, Maurice Geiger and Elsie Geiger. She is survived by: her daughter Debbi Vandy (Bob) of Kernersville, NC; her sister Ruth Andrews of Greensboro, NC; her grandsons, Ronnie Blanton and Andy Blanton; and her stepson Barry Mathews of Greensboro, NC.. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Furever Friends of North Carolina, P.O. Box 15742, Winston-Salem, NC 27113 or to Heart of the Triad Choral Society, P.O. Box 157, Kernersville, NC 27285.
