Julia Mae Torrey Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Julia Mae Torrey of Kernersville, North Carolina, born in Clinton, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 1, 2022 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Gorsuch and Catherine Gorsuch (McNamara); her husband Stanley L. Torrey; her children, David L. Torrey and Catherine E. Lovette; her grandson Daniel B. Baker; and her son-in-law Dallas Kaster.

She is survived by: her children, Scott S. Torrey of Epping, NH, Sheryl L. Baker (Bruce) of Chester, NH and Penny J. Kaster of Salley, SC; her grandchildren, Mark Baker of Chester, Stephen Skidmore of Austin, AK and Wendy Rice (Ryan) of Jonesboro, TN; her great grandchildren, Annaleigh, Emilyn, Allyson and Bryant; and her siblings, James Gorsuch of Hickory, NC and Lila Vestal of Kernersville, NC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill, Mass. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023 or to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
