He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frances Thompson and Robert Thompson; his grandchild Maple; his wife Jeanne; his daughters, Kara (Chris Vestal) and Leah (Joe Clark); his grandchildren, Lilah, John, Flynn and Lorelei; his close friends, Joni Wells, Jerri Thompson, Jim Thompson, Bud Odom and David Odom; and his sister Fran. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
