He was predeceased by: his parents, James William Howland, Sr. and Marie Roden Howland; and his sister Jeanette Street. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Henderson "Ginger" Howland; his children, Amy Howland, Brittany King (Thomas), Eric Howland (Rachel) and Jill Newell (Zac); his grandchildren, Landon King, Skylar Howland, Mason King, Caleb Howland, Saylor King, Savannah Howland and Sloane Newell; and his sister Patricia Dick. He is also survived by husband of 44 years, "Daddy" to his four kids and "Goopaw" to his seven grandbabies.
