It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Nelson of Kernersville, North Carolina, who passed away on April 29, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Nelson and Irene Nelson; his son Jackie Ray Nelson; and his siblings, I. J., Robert Nelson, Josie Goins and Becky Poole.
He is survived by: his wife Maebell Nelson; his children, Debbie Bonilla (Jose), Ricky Nelson (Teresa), Tony Nelson (Traice), Teresa Kallam (Gray), Glenn Nelson (Ana), Curtiss Nelson (Pam) and Joe David Bonilla; and his sisters, Mary, Martha, Sadie and Rachel. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
