He was predeceased by: his parents, James Nathan and Ruby Gallimore King; his sister Virginia "Jenny" Collins; and his brother-in-law Sonny Collins. He is survived by: his wife Kim King; his children, Jason King, Wendy King and Amber Dowdy (Michael); and his brother Roger King (Glenda).
