He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Clemmons Combs and Frances Irene Southard Combs. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Vanhoy Combs; his son Chad Combs (Susan); his grandchildren, Austin and Savannah Combs; and his siblings, Marie McMichael (Edwin), Peggy Hartman, Barbara Tucker (Willard) and Chris Combs (Sharon). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
