He was predeceased by: his parents, James Warren and Virginia Barrier Bass; his son Richard Bass; and his sister Mildred Hauser. He is survived by: his wife Elyn Joy P. Bass; his children, Marilyn Swart, Cindy Wilkes (Jerry), David Bass (Brenda) and Jimmy Bass (Vivian); and his grandchildren, Annie, Travis, Amanda, Amy, April, Brandon, Daniel, Cansas and Meranda. He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.
