She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayne Brooks and Barbara Graham Brooks; her husband George Vernon Overcast; her son Thomas Dale LaRue; and her grandchildren, Barry McLaurin and Patty McLaurin.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Moore, Vonna Mays (Johnny), Sterling Richard LaRue (Robin), Michael Wayne LaRue (Ann) and Dennis Ted LaRue (Ruby); her stepdaughters, Joan Thomas (Larry) and Linda Staggs (Ed); her grandchildren, Tommy LaRue, Jr. (Heath), Candi Scism (Mark), Martin Mays (Wendy), Kristen LaRue, Candice LaRue and Abby Ward (Luke); and her half-siblings, Jannie Karpach, Linda Moore and Will Brooks (Maxine). She is also survived by many great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren.
