She was predeceased by: her parents, Watt Carter and Meedie Boles Carter; and her husband Paul Bowling. She is survived by: her children, Carol Edwards, Janet Whitlow, Elladean Rowe, Elaine McGee, Katherine Walker and Vincent Bowling. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren; as well as many special extended family.
