She was predeceased by: her husband Clyde Ray Hicks; and her parents, Rev. James Woodrow Williams (J. W.) and Evone Genell Woodell-Williams. She is survived by: her brother Jackie Williams; her children, James McCaslin, Renee Hughes (Gary) and Laura Herring; her grandchildren, Tina, Brandon (Britney), Breann (Christian), Kimberly, Kara, Daniel, Carlton (Kayla), Justin and Tiffini; her great grandchildren, Finn, Trinity, Jasmine, Jimmie, Aadyn, Easton, Caleb, Karleigh and Kaia; her niece Crystal; and her sister Chun Cha Choe Edwards.
