He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Edward Atkins and Vida Lewis Cowan Atkins; his son Brian Keith Atkins; and his great grandchild Faith Anne. He is survived by: his wife Leona Mae Osborne Atkins; and his children, David Kevin Atkins (Lisa) of Walkertown, NC and Kathy Kirby (Joe) of Bristol, TN. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
