She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilburn Earl and Bessie Moore McCormick; and her husband Marshall Gordon Cheek. She is survived by: her son Marc; her daughter-in-law Michele of Raleigh; her granddaughter Mallory of Wilmington; her daughter Amy; her grandchildren, Thomas and Emma of Kernersville; her sisters, Edith Lewis (S. C.), Alice Gatewood of Chapin, S. C. and Beth Stone; her niece Jessie Stone of Columbia, SC; her nephew Kiah Stone (S. C.); and her sisters-in-law, Edna Stock of McColl, S. C. and Elaine Hudson of Brazoria, Texas. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Kernersville Chapel - Hayworth-Miller Funeral Homes & Crematory (3950 Macy Grove Rd, Kernersville, NC 27284). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Trellis Supportive Care at 101 Hospice Ln, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
