It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Douglas Eric Atkins (Kernersville, North Carolina), who passed away at the age of 68, on November 10, 2021. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Atkins and Nannie Ruth Burger Atkins; and his siblings, Jack, Carey, Timothy Atkins and Sandra Atkins.
He is survived by: his daughters, Erica Atkins (Daylan White) and Emily Atkins Eason (Matt Eason); his granddaughters, Sophia Eason and Eleanor Eason; and his siblings, Richard Atkins, Linda Stafford, Debra Taylor, Pamela Harris and Kimberly Bolejack. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Out of respect for Doug's amazing journey and the help he had along the way, his family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Samaritan Ministries, 414 East North West Blvd., Winston Salem, NC 27105. Please indicate donations are in memory of Douglas Atkins.
