She was predeceased by: her spouse Jerry Wilson Shields; her parents, Jessie Goins and Lillian Pike Goins; and her siblings, Clinton Goins, Carl Goins, Jessie "Tody" Goins, Billy Goins, Cecil Goins, Floyd "Buddy" Goins, Wilcher "Johnny" Goins, Sanders "Samp" Goins, Lois Goins and Sissy Goins.

She is survived by: her son Tod W. Shields (Jenny); her grandsons, Brandon T. Shields and Brantley P. Shields (Heather Galliger); her great grandchildren, Alina Shields and Sloane Shields; and her sister Linda Jones (Ernest). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
