It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Tilley of Kernersville, North Carolina, who passed away on February 10, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Valner and Mattie Geneva Stigall Tilley; and his siblings, Francis Tilley, Wayne Tilley and Betty Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Edna Moore Tilley; his children, Barry Tilley (Jeannie) and Tammy Tilley McKinney (Wayne); his grandchildren, Jonathan Tilley (Ali), Meredith Athay (Billy), Meagan Mitchell (Ben), Perry McKinney and Katelyn Mitchell (Darren); his great grandchildren, Emerson and Easton Tilley; his brothers, Gary Tilley (Barbara) and David Tilley (Mary Ann); and his sister-in-law Edith Tilley. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces.
With masks and social distancing observed, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 p. m. Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Union Grove Baptist Church in Oak Ridge.
