He was predeceased by: his parents, Ash Johnson and Eva Beeson Johnson; his children, Irene Angela Bradfield and Don Daniel Johnson; and his brothers, Ben, Van, Joe, Thad, Paul, Guy and Gene Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Melrose Ingram Johnson; his children, Janice Hume (Nick), Keala "Mitzi" Vai Noel, Elaine Crummett (Bill), Eva Knutson (Dave) and Art Johnson (Wendi); his grandchildren, Korrin, Tyler, Monica, Aaron, Cameron, Kristen, Caroline, Brandon, Brianna, Nathaniel, Jacob and Nigel; and his great grandchildren, Kaden, Andy, Ellie, Junius, Charles, Noble, Madelynn, Reagen, Isaiah, Una and Quinn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Pine Grove Methodist Church (1018 Piney Grove Rd, Kernersville, NC 27284).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pine Grove Methodist Church disaster relief fund at 1018 Piney Grove Road, Kernersville NC 27284.
