He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey J. Stafford and Faye Kirkman Stafford; his wife Imogene Myers; and his siblings, Dennis Stafford and Ruth Southard.
He is survived by: his sister Louise Frye (Jimmy) of Winston-Salem; his nieces and nephews, Debbie Brooks (Danny) of Kernersville, Luann F. Steele (Flake) of Clemmons, Tony Frye of Winston-Salem, Jimmy Southard of Kernersville and Jerry Southard of Pilot Mountain; his stepson Rick Grubbs (Gwyn) of Kernersville; his grandchildren, Jason Grubbs (Jayne) of Kernersville and Ashley Parker (Chad) of Raleigh; and his great grandchildren, Harrison, Hampton Grubbs of Kernersville, Holden and Grant Parker of Raleigh.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to the Kernersville VFW Post 5352, Bunker Hill Cemetery Fund, or The Trellis Palliative and Supportive Care of Winston-Salem.
