He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Chappell and Thelma Chappell. He is survived by: his wife Lila; his children, Holly Wilcox (Chip) of Clemmons, NC and Evan Chappell (Sarah) of Newport News, VA; his grandchildren, Abbie Wilcox, Emma Wilcox, Noah Wilcox and Elijah Chappell; and his aunts, Etta Graser and Lois Smith.
