He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Lester Hooker and Rosa Ella Hooker; his children, Barry Melvin Hooker (Charlotte), Benny Ray Hooker (Pat) of Winston-Salem, NC and Betsy Key Hooker Hintzmann (Todd) of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren, Lena Marie Hooker and Thomas Ray Hooker of Winston-Salem, NC; and his stepgrandsons, Andy Snow (Shannon) of Wilmington, NC and Mitchell Snow (Christine) of Asheville, NC.
