She was predeceased by: her husband William "Bill" Kennedy; her parents, Ervin Winston Rhew, Sr. and Bessie Ashley Rhew; and her siblings, Myrtle Atkins, Mae Roycroft, Frances Bowden, Mary Herndon and Ervin Rhew.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sandra Fleming (Rick) of Nashville, NC and Terri Kennedy (Brian Miller) of East Bend, NC; her grandchildren, Travis Holyfield (Molly Thomas) of Kernersville, NC and Tracy Tate (Burt) of Mt. Airy, NC; and her great grandchildren, Allyni Tate (Landon Strickland) and Colton Tate.
