He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosey Johnson Williams and Governor Vance Williams; and his daughter Mary June Shephard. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Williams; his grandsons, Robert Shephard (Jennifer) and Carroll Shephard (Jessica); his sister Bessie Edwards of North Marion, NC.; and his nieces and nephews, Wayne Hyder (Ann), Alan Williams (Janie), Larry Williams (Donna), Jimmy Edwards (Sandra), Mike Williams (Lynn), Roger Baldwin (Lisa), Jessie Baldwin (Lynn), Rosie Trittin and Annette Shipley (RD). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
