He was predeceased by: his parents, John Richard and Rosa Lee Hicks of Guilford County; and his brothers, Ricky and Mike Hicks. He is survived by: his children, Christopher Wayne Hicks and Melissa Ann Hicks; his stepdaughter Angela Vineyard (Johnnie); and his sister Brenda Dickens. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
