He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelbert Dixon and Ruby Inez Starling Dixon; and his grandson Steven Dixon. He is survived by: his wife Thelma Dixon; his sons, Jimmie Edward Dixon (Tammy Knott) of Virginia and Edgar L. Dixon (Martha) of Kenly; his grandchildren, Eddie Dixon and Alexia Dixon; his great grandchildren, Ryan Ward, Dustin Dixon and Steven Dixon; and his great great grandchildren, Mason, Ayden, Dillon, Aubrey, Ryleigh and Brennon.
