He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Richard Howell Sr. and Rosa Taylor Howell; his daughter-in-law Amy Weaver Howell; and his siblings, Floyd Howell Jr., Nevell Howell, Donald Howell, Thelma Howell Peedin, Guy Howell, Joyce Ann Howell Hawley and Dwight Howell.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Porter Howell; his children, Georgie Howell Wall (James) of Angier, Stacy Norwood Howell Jr. of Kenly and Deana Howell Abernathy (David) of Selma; his grandchildren, Blake Wall (Hunter), Barrett Wall List (Dalton), Seth Abernathy and Reagan Abernathy; his great grandchildren, Jett Wall, Tripp List and Braelyn List; and his brother Worth Howell (Linda). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
