He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Corbett McLamb; his children, Marguerite McLamb of Chapel Hill, Catherine Brown (Tyler) of Charlottesville, VA and Sam B. McLamb III (Liz) of Asheville; his grandchildren, Tyler Brown, Jr., Michael "Hugh" Kelly Jr., Kemper Brown, Hazel Brown, Sam McLamb IV and Eleanor McLamb; his sister Genevieve McLamb Taylor (Danny) of Snow Hill; his stepchildren, Kelly A. Shiel (Tom) of Raleigh and Kevin Aycock (Yira Boada) of Raleigh; his stepgranddaughter Katherine Shiel; his nephews, Dan Taylor, Jr. (Carlissa) and Charles Taylor; and his former wife Rita Robbins of Rutherfordton.
