He was predeceased by: his parents, Atlas Glenn and Ella Campbell Willoughby; and his brothers, Charles, Donald, Earl, Bill and A. G. Willoughby.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Harrell Willoughby; his daughter Rebecca Hope Whitley; his sisters, Margie Taylor, Shirley Hargis and Rose Willoughby; his sisters-in-law, Betty Jo Willoughby and Barbara D. Willoughby; and his pets, Millie and Jax. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
