He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Watkins and Ora Elizabeth Minshew Watkins; and his siblings, Estelle White, Kay Whitley, Hubert and Jimmy Watkins.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Holland Watkins; his daughters, Cynthia Watkins of Selma and Elizabeth Parrish (John) of Kenly; his grandchildren, Taylor Parrish, Brice Godwin, Brooke Godwin and Daniel Fry; and his sister Dorothy Creech of Kenly.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM at the New Jerusalem Free Will Baptist Church (1461 Jerusalem Church Rd, Kenly, NC 27542). Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 6:45 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the Kenly Cemetery (610 W 2nd St, Kenly, NC 27542).
