With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ricky Wade Godwin of Kenly, North Carolina, who passed away on November 5, 2024 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Ricky Wade may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ricky Wade touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his father Ernest Wade Godwin; and his brother Jeffery Godwin. He is survived by: his mother Betty Lou Barber Godwin; his wife Brenda Cockrell Godwin; his son Johnathan Narron; his siblings, Jesse Godwin (Shiela), Patricia Helms (Harold) and Jennifer Narron; and his granddaughter Laura Jean Narron.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Community Fellowship Methodist Church (5755 Rains Crossroads Rd, Princeton, NC 27569). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
