He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Junior and Virgia Lou Creech Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Mae Dunning Johnson; his children, Jonathan Johnson (Heather), Zoe of Kenly and Amber Johnson Paquette (Garrett); his grandson Caleb of Selma; and also Pat Johnson Evans of Kenly.
