He was predeceased by: his parents, James Horace and Lillie Mae Lee Hansley; and his adoptive parents, Rudolph Lee West and Shelvy Jean Hansley West. He is survived by: his daughters, Morgan Grem (Tyler) of Garner and Kassidy West of Garner; the mother of his children Kathy West of Clayton; his brother Barney Weaver of Cary; and his niece Macie Grem.
