She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Minshew and Elsie Minshew; her husband Melvin Chester Rodgers; her son Melvin Gary Rodgers; and her sisters, Juanita Hodges and Arminta Brown.

She is survived by: her son Adam Rodgers; and her granddaughter Miranda Rodgers.
