It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nathan Cooper Hales Jr. of Kenly, North Carolina, who passed away on January 2, 2024, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, Nathan Cooper Hales and Mildred Alford Hales; his daughter Allison Cooper D'Aprile (Zach); his aunt Pauline Bridgers; his uncle Benny Alford; and his brother Rupert Langston. He is also survived by many cousins, his lifelong friend.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Kenly Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund, 1730 NC-222, Kenly, NC 27542.
