She was predeceased by: her husband R. A. Simmons; her parents, Lehman H. Johnson and Mabel Jones Johnson; her siblings, Lehman H. Johnson, Jr. and Sulou Wagstaff; and her son-in-law Thomas Heath.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Susan Heath of Goldsboro, Ann Pittman (Jerry Davis) of Kenly and Nancy Johnson (Bill) of Four Oaks; her grandchildren, Don Yates, Jr. (Julie), Jason Horne (Sarah), Leah Fulkerson (Will), Mary Katherine Preston (Rick), Patrick Pittman (Kelly), Joseph Stutts (Tiffany), Leigh Ann Stutts and Kevin Stutts; and her great grandchildren, Emily Yates, John Yates, Caleb Fulkerson, Chloe Fulkerson, Jay Preston, Mary Miller Preston, Maggie Pittman, Palmer Pittman and Jayce Stutts.
Masks and social distancing are required.
