She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Reese Campbell and Alberta Amerson Campbell; her husband Norman Leighton Richardson; her grandson Reece L. Richardson; and her siblings, Melvin Campbell, Harvey Campbell and Geraldine Player.
She is survived by: her sons, Rickey Richardson (Becky), Todd Richardson (Sherry Hippo), Scott Richardson (Amanda) and Jody Richardson (Teresa); her grandchildren, Rebecca, Leighton, Garrett, Brock, Alice, Riley, Jameson, Samantha, Jo Jo, Justin and Jesse Richardson; her great grandchild Olivia Richardson; her siblings, Betty Jean David and Dondi Campbell (Stephanie); her sisters-in-law, Brenda Campbell, Ruth Brady and Esther Sawyer; and her close friend Barbara Midgett. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, extended family.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kenly Funeral & Cremation Service (103 E 2nd St, Kenly, NC 27542). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Kenly Missionary Baptist Church (1730 NC-222, Kenly, NC 27542). A graveside service was held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Kenly Cemetery (608 W 2nd St, Kenly, NC 27542).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Kenly Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund 1730 NC 222 West Kenly, NC, 27542 or to the Reece Richardson Memorial Scholarship at the University of Mount Olive, 634 Henderson St. Mount Olive, NC 28365 in memory of Mary Alice.
