She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Isaac Rogers and Louise Barnes Rogers; her husband Stephen Carl Watson; and her siblings, Thomas Rogers, Jr., Allen Rogers, Nancy Rogers Griffin and Adelia Cooper.
She is survived by: her son Steve Watson (Loretta); her granddaughters, Stephanie Fitts (Tyler) and Chelsea Watson (Alex Fitts); her great grandchildren, Lakelyn West, Tatum Fitts, Scarlett Fitts and Lucy James Fitts; her sister-in-law Patricia Abbott Rogers; and her niece Jonelle Aycock Mason (Lucy). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Kenly Funeral & Cremation Service (103 E 2nd St, Kenly, NC 27542). A graveside service was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Kenly Cemetery (608 W 2nd St, Kenly, NC 27542).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692 or to the SECU Hospice House 426 Hospital Rd, Smithfield, NC 27577 in memory of Lucy.
